about

'Antipodes', was penned by Deuce' Kayleigh Heydon in early days of the Coronavirus pandemic. Written and recorded within a couple of hours, the hazy pop track captures the yearning to reconnect with loved ones during a time where border closures and restrictions limit physical interactions.

lyrics

It’s too warm in this house
I’ve been still most of the day
In this heat, thinking of you
The cicadas outside my window...

These things they hurt, sometimes
I’ve been away too long
It’s a long way home

It’s cold where you are
Even in the sun, it’s fading, faded
Underneath my skin is you
Still, always...

These things they hurt, sometimes
I’ve been away too long
It’s a long way home
